'fzzrw , 1 dministration: AView from the .Top Running a high school was not an easy job. It took six adminis- trators to insure the proper cover- age for the more than thirteen hundred students that populated OHS. A tight administrative team made school life run more easily. At the top of the pyramid was Principal John McLay. Mr. McLay made sure that Osceola followed the proper county guide- lines and he was often the final word in any dispute over policy or discipline. For the underclass- men, Mr. Willie Matheny, Mr. Rick Wagar and Ms. Sadie Stat- en were the Assistant Principals that dealt directly with their problems. Ms. Denise Hart was in charge of the seniors. Ms. Hart also complied the schoolis news- letter. Mr. Wager had the added responsibility of overseeing all plant operations. Ms. Staten han- dled student transportation, and Mr. Matheny was in charge of textbooks. Mr. McLay and Ms. Hart spent much of the year preparing the school for the audit that was conducted in February. While Ms. Hart and Ms. Ware share lunch duty. 174lAdministration working for OHS, both of these busy administrators advised other schools on how to prepare for thxe audit. Mr. Allyn Ramker kept a huge amount of activities from over- lapping in his job as Activities Di- rector. He was also in charge of eligibility for students. Together our administrators made life a lot easier for all. -2 ...J ,.ii A.R Rick Wagar discusses the absence policy with a concerned parent.
