Recognizingi I Talent By Bill Whalen Displaying a real talent foriper- forming is what the Drama Club did best. These students did not often receive the recognition they deserved for devoting the time it took to mount a production. They had to make the costumes they needed in order to put on well- staged performances. The Drama Club was for any students who wanted to get in- volved with acting or stage pro- duction. Students studied and trained for the play The Match Maker. Athletics was not the only com- petition at our school. In Febru- ary the Drama Club attended dis- trict conference at Lakewood High School. In April, they also attended Dunedin High School at the district level. Later they at- tended the state competition at the University of Florida. The dedication and involve- ment of Mrs. Webster as well as the students was the key to a suc- cessful year. They deserved a standing ovation! Doug Sigouin, Ken Madden and Brit Kohlschreiber display the more gruesome side of theatrical props. R

Key To Success By: Rickey Ladd Changing and reshaping stu- dent life is the responsibility of the Student Council. They are the force behind Prom, Homecoming and other special events. Home- coming alone took over 60 hours of organization and the Junior Class spent much of the year or- ganizing the prom in the spring. Student Council was an organi- zation of students working for the students and achieving results beneficial to the entire student body. President Kathy said, Stu- dent Council is the political sector of our schoolf, One of the main goals of the Student Council was the promo- tion of school spirit. Voris said, I would like to see more people in- volved with Student Councilf, Another goal of Student Coun- cil was the establishment of a sense of pride in the Osceola tra- ditions. The Student Council was the backbone of activity and they always had the wheels turning to put some new plan or procedure into action.
