Some of the songs performed were Windy by the Association, Gingerbread Man song by Bobby Sherman, The Horse by Jesse James, and Light Sings by the Sth Dimenstion. Twelve girls were chosen in the spring of 1971 and were under the direction of Mrs. Wallin and Judy Elmblad. The girls had four money raising projects during the year. A car wash was held in the summer Where the girls had a lot of Wet fun. During the fair an added attraction was contributed with the dunking stool. Many turned up to throw balls and test their skill at dunking a dry girl. The final money raising project was taking care of two consession stands during the football season. In their second year the Chieftain- ettes are a roaring success!
