Snow Days Living in Wisconsin, we find we have a lot of snow. During the winter the high school stu- dents spend at least one week a year being jubilant about it. Snow Days 1971 was held from February 8-13, The week began with the building of snow sculptures by each class. An activity which aroused interest in the high school was the search for a me- dallion found by Mike Greene. Broomball Tournaments be- gan Saturday's activities. The boys' winning team was the Senior Super Jocks, captain - Charlie Wilberg. The girls' winning teams were the juniors, captain - Debby Neiderrnire, and the sophomores, captain - Diane Quist. Following the tournaments was a toboggan party at Cycle Park. A lunch was served for the participants. The week of festivities was climaxed with a dance. Music was provided by the Willow Street Band. vs' .153 'Q-5 ,113 .i,7', 1- -T1 -1 .fri I .. A Y '-rf, ,3',g.Ti' --- v - s H A f -:- .-f V ze--4 . 1 fa: . 1 , at D i Rial? r. The Chiefs put on a strong challenge tor the champion- ship, but the top spot eluded the Green and White and they landed in third place. The Chief- tains had a 14-4 overall record and 11-3 in the conference. The team will be hurt by the gradu- ation of tive seniors, but with a fine crop of under classmen coming up it looks like another conten- der again next year.
