Last September the classes of the Osceola High SchoQl held elections to deter- mine which students should be elected to take over the duties of OSCAR. The following representatives were elected: seniors. Glen Peterson and Wayne Olsong juniors. Donald Nelson and Dick Schwartzg sophomores. Paul Simenstad and Joan Kuskeg freshmen. Jciyce Berglund and Yvonne Peper. The student body elected Alfred Gorr as president. Donald Rogers as vice president, and Charlotte Vold. secretary. Mr. Askov was elected as the adviser of the group and Mr. Buck. treasurer, One of the first activities sponsored by this group was the selection of the new cheerleaders. Joan Hagen and Doris Meyer. Another activity was the OHS home- coming dance which was held en October 29. Under the sponsorship of this organ- ization. several school parties were held. as was the collection of almost 100 canes for use in the veterans' hospitals. To, raise money fcr the organization, a magazine selling campaign was con- ducted throughout the month cf November. It was a very successful campaign. and the students sold more than S900 worth of subscriptions. This money was used to pay for movies. speakers. and athletic equipment, The main purpose of this organization has been exemplified again this year. which is the second year of its existence. Many students have commented favtr- ably on the excellent school spirit and the way in which difficulties have been ironed out by the representatives at their regular monthly meetings. 111 11 Fl 111, 1 11 1 .111 usa '1 1 11111 L ru 1 R 51111151111 b11s11111 X1 C .1ru11.1 tllll l I L I to fl I 1 1111 0l'N111Qnn K LYSUI1 V LHSUI1 L7L1' U Q 511011 Ol I1ndb1r1 R I IYSOII Nine C111r11111c N11C,1r11 1c111sor 1 H fl lllX111NUI1 QL lk 1L 11 L 5 klYL 1 k1L LINS The FHA IS an 111ga111z1111o11 111.1d1 up of g1I'1S fl0IT1 1111 10111 11o1111mak111g 121155111 It 19 d111d1111 111111 111111 11IC1CS Cf111d11 F111 11111 md 1111 Hom1 C11C1C T111 C1111111 111111111t1s 111111 1111 N1L1C1X 111 pllpdl 1111111 111 1111111111111k111g 1111 F111s1d1 111110 111d1c11t1s 111111 1 111111 lI'1 1111 111111 1 111119131 11111 us1fu1 111e 011111 1111 HKJIII1 111g1b11 fO1 1111 Ca11d11 c11111 111111 11 5111 p11111s 1111' 1101111 she 111211 311111 11wL F11es1do C11C1C I11 1111 1111111 1111 111 FHA 1111111 she becomes a 111111110131 of 1111 Home 1'111'111 T111s 111g111117.1111111 11 IN Q1a111d X111 3.11311 'xgo 1 fu111111 1111 114111 DL un 111 1111 111111111111 11111115 1111111 T1111 1 L1 1 1111s 111111 111111111 11 2-1 11111 f11s11111111 111111 11111 1111 1111111 exs 11 m111111g 111111 IS e 1C 11 11111111 11 1011s 11111 1 QC 11 11 1111111 C,.:11uf11 p11S1de11t Ruth S1111151111 1111 1311511111111 G11c1 S11111so11 11111210111 101.1 Pa enfus t1'easu111 L1111111111 H 1111 111qt0r1an 1111111 1119 11111 12111111111 111111 10111 1 11111111 1121116-1s111 ft M121 1VI1C,1r11 111 1111111111 111 5111111111111 11115 111111 111111111111 I T111s 51211 11 11.1111111111 111111 1111 ll 1111111 111111 R111 Clow b111111g 1111s 1111111 1111 1111 111111111 T116 111ga11111111111 1x11 1x111 Q 1 1 fl,l1I1lN111'1 N 111 1111 1111 11111k111g 100111 I11 1111 sprmg 1111 111131 1111e1111g lb 111 1111 1111111 11 1 135111111111 111 1111191 c1111N111 111111a111111e111 1111! 11111, 1c1'1 1 'g11t: NI. 1.i1111b' j, Y.
