Other unbeaten football teams: 1968, 1970. 1956 110 High Hurdle State Champion, Jan Grossniklaus, crosses the finish line during the 1956 State Track Meet. Other Boys Track State Champions: Cal Coffin, 440 yd. dash, 1970 and 1971; Rob Johansen, triple jump. 1986; 880 yd. relay team, 1956. 100 Years Of Change The present school was first used in 1975. Dana Larson Associates of Omaha. Ne, took 20 acres of land and turned it into a beautiful 54,000 sq. ft. school building. The total cost of the building and grounds was $1,432,00. Prior to the building of this sports complex, the football games were played at the fairgrounds. County Feeder’s Supply

Throughout The Years The 1967 boys basketball team, led by Coach Don Bartek, roared into the State Tournament with an impressive 22-1 record. Other state qualifying boys basketball teams: 1921, 1969, 1986, 1988. The two-mile relay team-Nancy Lemp, Bernie Nitsch, Kris Monson, Joyce Gabel-captured the gold at the 1978 state track meet. Other Girls State Track Champions: Jami Schott, 300 low hurdles, 1986. Coach Schiefelbein and the Lady Bulldogs ended their 1987 volleyball season with a district title and a trip to Lincoln. Other state qualifying volleyball teams: 1988. Rusty Dunn worked his way into the state finals during the 1984 State Wrestling Tournament.
