100 Years Of Distinction First High School Graduating Class from Osceola, 1888: Professor M. R. Snodgrass: Orland P. Heald, Jay P. Morrill, Henry H. Campbell, 0. Edward Mickey, Armine J. Cashner, and Myrtle I. Wheeler. The first Osceola School Building was built at a cost of $6,000 where the present city library is located. This structure was built back in the summer of 1882. Though, the first class to graduate from Osceola High School wasn’t until 1888. An election held in September, 1911, voted for the issuing of bonds and the construction of a new school house. The vote was carried and a corner stone was laid June 12, 1912, and the school building was dedicated January 3, 1913, at a cost of $50,000. It was built right beside the current downtown auditorium. This building was torn down in 1975 after the construction of the present school building. Midland Products

100 Years Of Change The present school was first used in 1975. Dana Larson Associates of Omaha. Ne, took 20 acres of land and turned it into a beautiful 54,000 sq. ft. school building. The total cost of the building and grounds was $1,432,00. Prior to the building of this sports complex, the football games were played at the fairgrounds. County Feeder’s Supply
