Band Travels For Competitions The 1987-88 Band traveled to Grand Island (Harvest of Harmony), Lincoln (Pershing Audtor-ium), and Malcolm (Malcolm Marching contest) to perform their marching routines. The Band received two 2 ratings, one at Harvest and the other at Pershing; and one 1 rating at Malcolm. The Band also performed several concerts for the public, and competed in the District Music Contest in Columbus. This year’s Band Officers: Don Graff, President; Pam Grosch, Vice President; Donnie Dotson, Secretary; Cindy Hays, Treasurer. Next year a new face will be introduced to the OHS Music Dept., because Mr. John Jacobs is leaving in August for Army basic training in Alabama. After basics Mr. Jacobs will be traveling to Norfolk, Virginia, to start his “Tour of Duty.” All OHS students wish Mr. Jacobs the best of luck.
