Spirit The 1982 Football season was very different than some years past at OHS. The beginning ot a new philosophy towards teamwork by Coach Ramsbottom pushed the excitement level to new heights, and with the help of an always encouraging Pep Club that worked hard, the Bulldogs in '82 played together. A very young, inexperienced team suited up 30 athletes for the tough uphill battle in '82; compared to numbers in the high 40's in previous years. This proved to be the start of a tough season, but one in which the 'Dogs probably played together as a Team more successfully than in previous years past. Finally, nearing the end of the season the Bulldogs put it all together for a super team effort over Fullerton. Inexperienced, small and young, the players stood tough the entire season and truly felt the efforts of a coaching staff that never gave up on them, as players, or men. Bulldog team members receiving All-Conference and Honorable Mention status this season were: Trent Larson — QB, Kent Johansen — HB, Darin Sterup — TE, DE, Curt Erickson — OG. David Bur-ritt — DT, and Rusty Dunn — LB. Trent Larson and Rusty Dunn also were awarded Honorable Mention spots on the AP All-State Football team for 1982.
