On October 2, Osceola defeated the Exeter Eagles, 41-13, for a Homecoming victory. The game was played on the new field, so floats were displayed on the practice field. Queen candidates were escorted onto the field by their fathers in decorated golf carts. After the King candidates walked onto the field, the crowns for the 1981 Homecoming King and Queen were given to Dan Kucera and Paige Gustafson. First attendents were Chris Hof-bauer and Susan Watts. Second attendents were Tim Peterson and Jolene Gabel. Assisting the royal court were crown bearer and flower girl, Andy Mentink and Kasey Thompson. Following the game, the traditional ceremony of formally crowning the King and Queen was conducted at the dance. The gym was decorated by the Spirit Club, with “Celebration” as the theme. “Homecoming 1981” will be at lasting memory in all the hearts and minds of the students at O.H.S. Pictured at left.
