Another money-earning activity was the class play, NO BOYS ALLOWED, which was a big success. The play was directed by Mr. Jack Vant. The Juniors had an exciting, fun-filled year and all are anxiously awaiting their last year at O.H.S. They have meekly surrendered to the usual upperclassmen taunting, and strive to further their progress toward their graduation. Twelve members of this class were selected, by the Juniors, to act as prom servers for the 1980 Prom. The head servers are Curtis Ericson and Jody Peterson. The others are K. Breeden and D. Sterup, T. Flatt and J. Davis, J. Gabel and T. Larson, S. Swantek and D. Klein, L. Reisdorff, and K. Johansen. And the alternates are S. Gossett and M. Four new faces joined the crowd at O.H.S. in the faculty positions; Don Needs, Suzanne Mclnnis, Jack Vant, and Connie Westrope. The students got another opportunity to break in a new principal, Richard Heck. The most familiar faces of the past years were found performing their regular duties: Mr. Heine showed a great interest in his accounting students by making sure each one kept busy all of the time. Mr. Carlson kept as calm as he could during an exciting basketball season. Mrs. Helgren resumed her normal duties of making funny faces and screaming at her vocal music students. Our teachers shared their knowledge once again for another year coming up with new ideas and facing new situations each and every day. From their knowledge and new ideas, some learned new ways to try and solve the world's problems, create a somewhat artistic design, to build a level shelf or to solve an algebraic equation! This record didn't show the spirit and determination displayed throughout the season. This spirit, along with the Junior Varsity's record of 4-4, gives the team high hopes for next year. Although the freshmen ended up with a record of 1-8, they are looking forward to next year after having gained experience this year. Those making All-Conference Volleyball were: 1st Team —B. The tunnel started with pillars which lead down to an archway. The meal was furnished by P M Cafe and was enjoyed by everyone. Memories The Annual Staff is responsible for putting together a yearbook which brings together a collection of the year's memories. This year's annual suffered many difficulties throughout the year. At the first of the year there were few that were willing to help. After a slow start there were many volunteers but few actually met their responsibilities. The yearbook sponsor. Miss Westrope contributed a great deal while putting the book together. Editor- in-Chief Leann Johansen and Business Manager Carla Schott put forth their greatest efforts to finish this year's book. Other members who deserve special recognition include: Brian Jinright, Jane Jarmin. A special thanks goes to Mike Bryan for the use of his pictures. (Note: A lot of pages in this yearbook were finished at the last minute and several pictures are missing due to annual staff members with other priorities.) 64 Advertising OVERLAND SAND GRAVEL r=arm Bureau upe insurance companu Congratulations Seniors May your dreams come true Ready Mixed Concrete Stromsburg, Nebraska redwood MOTEL RAY and BERNICE SOUKUP MIKE SENIOR STUDIO.
