Stanley Lamb Carrie Loken Jayne Nelson Bonnie Noble Steve Peterson Patti Roehrs Dale Runquist Gaylen Schmoker Cindy Schott Russell Sigler Peggy Tindall Susie Wyman You there, hiding in the corner, what’s your grade?” No, Sir. I'm a freshman, Sir. Ah hah, one of the lowest of the low! Yes, Sir, anything you say, Sir. On August 27, 1973, there entered into OHS the new freshmen class expecting a similar scene as pictured above to happen to them everyday when meeting with upperclassmen. But to the utter suprise of these poor creatures, these overlords of the halls were human. That was the impression, however, only until the bon fire which has got to be the most terrifying night in the life of a freshman. Somehow on this night perfectly normal people turn into the monsters the class expected from the beginning. Don't get the wrong impression. The freshmen aren't complaining because they can’t wait until next year to do the same thing. One must admit the class of 1977 had some pretty great accomplishments in their first year of high school. For example, the freshmen volleyball team finished their season with a 5-1 record which is superior for an inexperienced team. The boys of the class had a successful basketball season winning both of their games and finishing second in the freshmen-sophomore tournament. However, one must also agree that there was a lot of help from the sophomores in this endeavor. A flute trio of freshmen girls received a superior rating at district music contest. This really came as a surprise to the group after a previous poor performance in band. The class have had many memorable times in their first year of high school and hope to have many more. Was that a streaker? Don't they usually have desks in school? When I'm with you I feel 10 feet tall. Or is it 10 inches? Five mistakes and I haven't even started to type yet! 22 Lepp and Larson Inc. of Polk Co. Dan Kelly, Ford Representative
