When the Juniors reminisce about their 1973-1974 school year they will reflect with satisfaction upon their accomplishments. Class members participated and excelled in football, basketball, wrestling, boys’ and girls' track and volleyball. They were outstanding in vocal and instrumental music groups and let the student body academically. The class play, Up The Down Staircase , and the speech contests gave many juniors the opportunity to show their talents. The play, which held two performances, was directed by Mrs. Tomasevicz and aided by Mrs. Chapman. The money making projects in previous years made the Class’s Homecoming and Prom events to be long remembered. The sponsors of this class must not be forgotten with their patience and leadership that directed this Junior class. 25 sacks please, Debbie. Hurry! Open your mouth, close your eyes, for you I have a big surprise. The smallest class in high school, the sophomores, made a significant place for themselves in high school life. A more experienced class again entered into school and extracurricular activities with zest and enthusiasm as they had done in their first year in OHS. The thirty-two member class contributed greatly to the athletic and music departments. Despite their size, the rest of the school certainly knew the class was around. The sophomores really lived up to their motto, We may be a small class, but we have a lot of class. Their original float received the third place prize in the senior division of the Homecoming parade. For the first year the sophomore class did not hold the annual pancake feed. Instead the class of 1976 began to raise money for their prom next year with other projects. May was the month for a bake sale and a car wash by the class. Life is sweet just because of the friends we have made, and the things which in common we share, We want to live on, not because our ourselves, but because of people who care. It's giving and doing for somebody else--on that all life's splendor depends.
