I remember the cultivation of Beatle bubble gum cards. I remember helping my babysitter look up answers in an encyclopedia .... And, now, Ringo says the Beatles are no longer . . . I'm the one who's performing. Now, I'm babysitting for my babysitter . . . and tracking down ten sourecs for a term paper. And Now is the past, but I still remember .... I remember English tests, the SAT, and government quizzes. I remember Ideas forever dormant Ideas executed. I remember Teachers behind desks, Teachers behind podiums, Teachers behind lab tables. I remember white roses and blue ribbons, girls in prom dresses, a bucket in room 301, watching the clock and thinking that bell was never going to ring, watching the clock and hoping that bell would never ring I was having so much fun. I remember orange dots in a crowd, freezing through football games, counting seconds. I remember play practice, forgotten notes, saying I flubbed it a lot. I remember graduated flasks, slide rulers, paint brushes, class meetings, Remember When in the MIKE I remember the dammit joke, the fun house, DO IT! Right on! I remember my senior year at OHS .... I remember squat thrust birpies and snowball, my best friend's smile people wondering about the wasted space in the halls, colliding with five other people in the hall during just one bell, going to school at 8:00—a.m. and p. m.. clapping hands, climbing stairs, cleaning desks.
