Also in thc action arc Bobby Jones, 40. and Johnny Newhart, 15. Mr. Marshalls Junior Varsity football was a green, but willing squad, consisting of twenty members. Their record 12-65 does not give a full picture of the qualities of the team, because four of these games were lost by a margin of six or fewer points. The team was helped with the addition of Lonnie Bryant and Larry Dillon from the Junior High. Injuries con- sistently plagued, the team. Among the injured were John Bondurant, broken ankleg Edsel Pritchard, broken legg Billy Thompson, one of the better players, missed the last couple of games because of appendicitis. Everett Edwards was pro- moted to varsity at the end of the season and was a decided asset in the Norview game on Thanksgiving Day. All of these boys will be a great help to the varsity next season. Highlights of the season were Thompson's hard running and defensive play as a line backer, Edwards thrusts through the line, Henley's passing, and Stringfield's mad dashes for the goal line. Billy Thompson is on the move as a Cradock man moves up Henley is number 43, Johnny Bondurant. 30, 4. Jalal. ,' : . 4. . .4g
