The classes showed their spirit as they decorated the halls with slogans, spirit links, and held a parade through town showing their enthu- siam. The football game was a great success as the Eagles defeated the Raders. A dance, featuring a live band, added the final touch to end the week of festivities. Top left picture (Left to right) — S. THE CLASS OF ’81 81 THE OSBOURN FINE ARTS DEPARTMENT presents CHRISTMAS 79 Band - Mr. Larry Everson Choir • Mrs. Wendy Cantwell Orchestra • Mr. Ralph Boehm Art ■ Mrs. Pat Campbell The 1979 Christmas Concert presented by the music department was a great success. The concert was a combined effort by the bands, orchestras, and chorus. A few selections performed were Rudolph, Three Noels, Winter Wonderland, Carol of the Bells, Jingle Bells, and Buglars Holiday. The Hallelujah Chorus, performed by all of the students in the music department, ended the concert with Ralph Boehm, conducting. The en¬ tire evening was enjoyed by all. 82 Mr. and Mrs. Warren S. Sellew CITY RHYTHM BAND On Dec. 21, we were honored to have the City Rhythm Band from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, performed for our school. They performed a variety of music, appealing to both the student body and to the faculty. The members of the group were very young, the lead singer being 30 years of age. Our principal, Mr. Eg- idi, was especially honored to have his nephew perform. The band was inexpensive to our school, yet put on an excellent performance during school and at the night concert. The City Rhythm Band was enjoyed by all and we appreciate their visit to OHS. 83 CLASS OF ’83 VALENTINES DAY Hush Buttons are little red hearts that say HUSH on them. Now if you are wondering what you do with a heart that says HUSH on it, you’ve not abnor¬ mal. On Valentines Day, the Lionettes give each girl one button and see if they can keep it all day long. The guys try to get the buttons by trying to make the girls talk. The guy who col¬ lects the most buttons receives a great big sweet kiss from the Lionettes. The winner of this years contest was Glen Banford. 84 Dr. and Mrs. Chung Kook Kim It has become a tradition to sell carnations of Red, Pink, and White on Valentines Day. Red is for your sweet¬ heart, Pink is for a special friend, and White is for someone you would like to get more acquainted with. The SCA sold over 500 carnations this year and feels it was a great success. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce R.
