 Foreword Progress through high school is a series of doors. For most students at Osbourn, the end of this school year merely marks the closing of another chapter of their high school life; ahead lies a long, fun-filled summer, then back to school again. For Osbourn's Seniors, however, the last door is about to close upon their entire high school career. You, the Class of '65 will travel new and different pathways into the future. From now on you will find new doorways and will begin to shape your own lives. You have a direction to take, a way to do it, and you know the way. Ahead is the door, the handle to turn, the latch to lift. Throughout these years you have been finding, acquiring, filling your pockets with keys. Already the doors are opening. Through how many shall you finally pass? 2

Dedication It is no ordinary teacher who effectively combines in a classroom ability and knowledge of her subject with personal enthusiasm and understanding. Osbourn High School can boast such a teacher, appreciated not only for her excellence in class, but for her generosity in giving her time to individual students and to varied extracurricular activities. Her warmth and friendship, her ready laughter and unfailing wit are a part of Osbourn. The Annual Staff takes great pride in dedicating the 1964 Hi-Jacket to Mrs. Susan Barbee. 4
