Habla usted espanol?... for that is just what the French and Spanish clubs hold as their goals...to provide an opportunity for the members to listen to the languages and to learn to speak tnem. By means of moving pictures, songs, and literature, members of the clubs visit vicariously with their French and Spanish-speaking neighbors. Realizing that today, more than ever before, international good-will is important to us all, the language clubs encourage an interest in the culture and civilization of the countries where French and Spanish are spoken. Harlan Veenandaal The membership of the Bible Club numbers twenty-eight. The club tries to get a better understanding of the Bible by learning how we got it, by studying certain passages, and one of the Gospels. Its aim is to follow as closely as we can the teachings of Jesus in our daily lives and lead out in religious activities for the student body. Its projects this year are: giving thanks at both lunch periods, assisting in devotions for assembly programs, and providing a place with quiet music where those who wish may have a few minutes of private devotions before beginning the day's work. The clubs chief activity is the annual observance of Book Week. Science Club The Science Club has undertaken many interesting activities. Our Future Scientists of A-merica are getting a chance to employ their imagination under the careful supervision of Miss Pauline Smith. Honticultune Club The Horticulture Club of Osbourn has been working hard to improve the appearance of our school grounds. They have planted trees and shrubbery which was donated by the P. T.
