Stone, Miss Upshur With the Hrst school days in September we began talking about the 1948 Hi-jacket. Hours and hours we spent studying annuals, making picture schedules, planning page sequences, soliciting ads, arranging pictures, checking on names, writing copy, and all of the many tasks connected with editing the school yearbook. The staff is appreciative of the help we received from everyone. To the patrons who purchased ads, to all who bought copies of the annual, to the people who loaned us cars for our numerous errands, to Mr. Ross for his cooperation with the staff during those trying days in January when we were getting ready to go to press, to Mr. Newlan for his patience in making group pictures, to Viola Ritenour who typed all of our copy and Vera Merchant who typed the ads-- to all of you we can only say, Thanks! We hope you like the 1948 Hi-Inckelf' The Hi-Iafkef during its short life of four years has become an integral part of Os- bourn High School and the staff of the 1948 edition is proud to present this as our con- tribution to become a part of the heritage of our high school. Sealed: S. Saylors, M. Gregory, B. Ritter. Sianding: B. Stickel, B. Lymburner, F. Muse, Mrs. Stone Miss Upshur, E. Davis, O. Dashiell, J. Martin. A

Stone, Miss Upshur What paper brings you those explosive editorials? That on the spot, hot-off-the- press news? The latest on Osbourn romances? It is not the Messenger, not the Iournal, not the Wfaslfrington Post, but the Yellow Iaeket. The paper has an enthusiastic staff of alert reporters who have covered the year's news events, and provided entertaining read- ing for Osbournites, old and new. The paper is published monthly. 3931.
