GO GIRL CO Frances goes around Cassville s guards to ward the goal for another two points as Becky and Butch race to her assi tance By thrs and other tactics our girls came out as winners again This was a very important win SIHCC we had lost to the same team by one point in a previous bout Proving that we could beat them as well as other teams gave us the confidence that we needed for a successful season Cardlnals Continue Victory March By Downing Cassvllle Osborne High s basketball team won three games from Cass Hlgh of Cassvllle here at the Osborne gymnasium The boys won by the score of 62 57 the g1rls by 38 32 and the boys B team by 60 41 Cassville led only the first quarter ll 3 but 33 30 but chunked ln 24 points 1n a hot third period to Cassvllle s 14 and added 18 more in last quarter to Cassvllle s 11 LOOK AT THOSE FACES Our boys really take their game serious as you can see by the expression on Dale Paul and Ronnie s faces Paul heads for the goal a Dale and Ronnie screen the guards of the opposlng team -Xlthough the final score was very close lt chalked up another win for the Osborne Cards This was a long awaited revenge for our first loss of the season was to Cassvllle 64- the Osbornites finished-ahigad at the half T7-15 and 26-23 at the end of the third. The zone defense has proved very success- ful this year. Our guards demonstrate this defense, with Dawn playing point and Mary and Deana playing back, The guards ability to guard any type of offense has strengthened our team immensely.
