As this picture well illustrates, our boys are not champions because of lack of skill, Captured here is the efficient layout and necessary teamwork which goes to make a winning team. CET THIS BOYS. During time out, Coach Kennedy talks over with the boys the situation of the game as it now stands. Such a time out as this inspires the boys to a tri- umphant finish. OUR TEAMS AT WORK LISTEN CLOSELY. Many are the varied activities of the ballgame. In the foreground, Coach Harmon explains an important tactic to the girls, as the cheerleaders carry on their duty of creating spirit among the crowd. OUR GUARDS AT WORK. The zone defense has proved very success- ful this year. Our guards demonstrate this defense, with Dawn playing point and Mary and Deana playing back, The guards ability to guard any type of offense has strengthened our team immensely. The club also sponsored a sport dance which was enjoyed very much by everyone. Other than this, each member is working to get points for the Club by doing outside office work, such as typing, filing, and other clerical work. All the members are looking forward to the State Convention, which will be held this year at Rock Eagle, Ca., April 5 and 6. Anyone who wishes to attend may do so. The Future Nurses Club is one of our newest clubs at Osborne. Any girl who is planning to enter some phase of the medical field as her life work, can be a member. During the year, these girls visit various hospitals in our locality. They toured Kennestone Hospital in Marietta and also St. Joseph's Infirm- ary in Atlanta, seeing the operating rooms, nursery, laboratory, and kitch- ens. This on the spct survey was very inspiring and helped the girls to decide on their particular work. The main project of the club this year was the sewing of the cancer pad, which is very worthwhile and helpful to the com- munity. We are proud of the F.N.A.,s work and know they will continue being outstanding at Osborne. F.N.A. X HO CLUB To become a member of the HO Club one must have earned a letter in some phase of athleticsg mainly basketball, baseball, soft- ball, and track. It is an honor club and one feels privileged to be a member. The club carries on many varied activities in which all members participate. Since this club is only a few years old, one of the main projects was that of drawing up a constitution, by which its members must abide. Included in their activi- ties Was to sponsor a dance and hayride.- To become a member of the HO Club is a goal set by many students. Early in their high school years, they begin to take part in various sports so that in future years they may be good enough to achieve a letter and become eligible for membership.
