GEEK IT'S GREAT TO BE IN HIGH SCHOOLV' SAYS GAIL UNDERWOOD. Gailf called Mr. Rosser. Come here and I will explain that problem to you. I couldn't believe that I was really in high school. I felt that I belonged to a pretty special group, too. The Sth grade had a whole annex just to themselves. IVe all took the same subjects, but we changed classes, and we had five teachers. That was really something, because we had been accustomed to having one teacher for everything. We took English, geography, read- ine. health, and arithmetic. We especially liked health. We got to go outside when the weather wasirt bad. Mrs. Ehlert took us out occasion- ally. but our other classes were always held inside-reading the Readers Digest-working arithmetic problems-studying the parts of speech or some other phase of grammar. It was great. though. This-our hrst year in high school. .11,:fie'f 'A ' l -. T ' 1 UIQ' - l ' .ga Y sn, , 1 l , 9' - 3 Tj ja . . 'F 2 Ayr . ' Q4 up 7 R s THE f'H1LliPfl?,l,g9 agus '73'l4j .
