Chorus Developed Strength In Part Singing Reorganization has been the princi- pal Work of the vocal section of the music department of O. H. S. Work was done in strengthening sections and part singing. During the course of the year the chorus, under the direction of Mr. Gillum, made several public appear- ances. H iglz Enthusiasm Shown By Pepsters The Pep Club, open to all the students, was sponsored by Miss Wright and led by President Cheri Banister. lt did much to promote school spirit and sportsmanship both at school and at the football and basketball games. The members sat in reserved sections of the bleachers and, with the help of the cheerleaders, encouraged everyone to cheer the boys on to victory. Uniforms of red Weskits, skirts, and shoes were selected by the members of the Pep Club. These uni- forms Were Worn to school on the days of the games and then in attendance of the games that night. 61 Pep Club Ojicers Cheri Banister, Coleen Spears, Nancy Marriott, and Mary Mattingly sew Trojan crests on their Pep Club uni- forms.
