'. A sure way to stir-up enthusiasm among the students at a pep rally, assembly, or basketball game is for the pep band to perform. THE PEP BAND MEMBERS ARE: Mike Carberry, Sharon Craig, Kay Duncan, Claudette Smithhisler, Pat Latimer, Bonnie Bratton, Mary Cragg, Joe Clerico, Steve Warner, Richard Grant, Kent Perry, John David Cole, Ronnie Renoe, Billy Fairchild, Dick Koerner, Clark Powell, the director, Mr. Raymond Renoeg Jim Bussell, Bob Kester, Jack Weide, John Dial, Richard Buchanan, and Doran Stevens. Band members eagerly deposit the money collected from the sale of tickets to the Pancake Day which was one of the projects for raising money for new band trousers and hats. H.S. is concentrating this year on the pro- duction of nut cups, carnival caps, tray favors, and tray covers for military and veterans' hospitals at each holiday season. They bought and wrapped ten gifts for the At- chison Receiving Home at Christmas time. The International School Correspondence Program is the special proiect for l958-59. lt provides the Council with an opportunity to communicate with a group of young people in another country by means of writing, art, and photography which will be as- sembled into an album for exchange.
