CROSS CCUNTRY A new sport was lntroduced at Osage hlgh school last fall, when a cross country team was organized by Mr Stxdolph Cross country con slsts of runnlng distances up to two m1Ies and down hills In a race the boys all run the same dlstance and the first three members of the team to finish count in the team scormg. The lowest score wins wlth each boy receivlng the same number of pomts as the posltlon he finishes TOP ROW. Rowland, C. Penney, gn the race, 805 5l:'d0lPhi, NEST ROW' Fnsblev A nice group turned out for the sport and meets ' Jo nson' on er' were scheduled with Charles City, West Waterloo, and Sheffield. The highlights of the season were the State One Mile Team Race at Iowa City and the State Cross Country Run at Ames. The s ad took second ln the latter event. The sport willuhe continued next year.
