DECLUE WINS FREE THROW MEDAL Ending the season with four victories out of fourteen games the Osage Braves scored a total of 371 points for a game average of 26.5 points per game. Three of their four victories were conference games making their conference record three wins and nine losses. Scoring a total of 82 points, Dewey Burris averaged 5.8 points per game while Ronald DeClue followed close behind with a total of 77 points for an average of 5.5 points per game. Carl Cotten and Jim Clayton were next as both scored a total of 70 points for an average of 5 points per game. Hitting 12 out of 21 free throws to win the free throw medal with a percentage of 57.1 was Ronald McClue. Losing their first game to Versailles by a score of 33-36, the Braves continued in like manner as they were defeated by Camdenton by a score of 27- 33 and then by Eldon to the score of 26-38. The Braves proved stronger than the Stover team as they won 28-26. Tipton ended their high hopes as they defeated the Braves, 33-36. The Braves then lost a heartbreaking game to California by the narrow margin of 35-36. Again losing by a close margin the Braves were defeated by Versailles to the score of 27-29. Losing to Camdenton by a score of 33-42 and Eldon by a score of 25-46 the Braves then played Waynesville only to lose another close one tg the score of 39-42. Meeting Stover the Braves again proved to be stronger as they won 35-31. Getting revenge over Tipton the Braves were victorious 23- 20. California held their ground against the now- winning Braves and defeated them by a score of 19-27. Ending the season strong the Braves defeat- ed Waynesville 38-32.
