I . . , . , . I h I A Miss Meta Mattern Miss Sadie Shoener Miss Mattern is a graduate of West Chester State Teachers College, she completed courses in English at Penn- sylvania State College, and extension courses from Bucknell University and New York University. Her teaching experience includes three years in West Brunswick Township, three years in demonstration school con- nectedwith West Chester State Teachers College, and forty years in the public schools of Orwigsburg. Dedication The members of the Senior Class of Orwigsburg High School dedicate the Hi-Crier of 1956 to Miss Meta M. Mat- tern and Miss Sadie V. Shoener, two of our congenial and devoted teachers. We regret the fact that they are saying, Farewell to their teaching careers. Through the years they have instructed and guided many pupils to success. Miss Shoener received her education in the Orwigsburg Schools and Kutztown State Teachers College. This year she is completing fifty years of teaching, having taught one year in East Brunswick Twp., three years at Landingville, and forty-six years in the first grade of the Orwigsburg Schools. 8 Board of Eduoauon Blue Mountam Joml School Svstem New R!
