Isabella kicked off to Orrville, and Sollie Gliver returned the kickoff ten yards to his own M3, then drove through the middle into Isabella terri- tory on a ten-yard off-tackle trip. Patterson and Kelly carried the ball down to the 2-yard line. Here Bridges took over and shot a bullet pass into the waiting arms of Bo Davis for Orrville's first score. Bridges also passed to Knight for the point. Morgan Edwards recovered a Hayneville fumble on the one-yard line for the Torrents in the second quarter. Patterson ran it over for the score. Bridges scored from the 2-yard line after a series of line plays worked down to that spot. Instead of kicking the point, Pat Knight passed to his brother Joe in the endzone. Massey, and Morgan Edwards were outstand- ing igithe line while Cecil Moore and Pat Kelly turned in good jobs in the ack eld. MARION INSTITUTE -- ORRVILLE The Marion Institute B's blasted the Blue Torrents on November 12 with a 33-O score to halt Winton Wise's 8-game streak without a loss. Wise, in the game that saw several of his regulars sidelined with injuries, nearly lost the remainder of his varsity as injuries ran rampant through the squad. Led by the running and passing of Holiday, the running of Boyd and Scott and the line play of their two guards, Plier and Nichols, the Marion team poured on the heat from the opening whistle to the final. They scored a touchdown in the first quarter, added two in the second, scored another in the third, and a final score in the fourth quarter. Before being removed from the game,Bridges kept the Orrville club in the game with his passes to Joe Knight, but soon both were sidelined and the Blue Torrents' attack faded. N., vo .. A355
