Steffen Mehl and Tzlena Hastings compete in the King and Queen competition. Take us to victory or lose us forever! The Juniors let their true feeling show as they predic ted the outcome of the Varsity game against Corning that night. 14 Homecoming There's no class like 90! Karen Whitacre and the characters of Oz clicked their heels in delight as they discovered the secret of success.

'rtycute “TOe tfot? Sfrinctfff I really liked the Junior skit, and I thought the class competition was really close, stated Brett Hamilton when asked what he liked best about the rally. If you put wall-to-wall posters, streamers, balloons, exciting skits, and nine-hundred costumed students together what have you got? Spirit!!! The 1987 Homecoming rally was full of fun and excitement! Each class presented a skit and boy were they great! The Freshmen asked the mirror on the wall who was the fairest of them all. The Sophomores journeyed the yellow brick road and discovered there's no place like 90.” The Junior class serenaded their queen who had lost that lovin' feeling, and the Seniors proved that nerds are people too! The King and Queen candidates participated in a competition. The Queens had to prove their poise as they walked with a book on their head while the Kings were spinning around a baseball bat ten times. They met at a skateboard and the King pushed his Queen back to the beginning where they shared a licorice rope from both ends. The team that kissed first were the winners and that honor belonged to the Seniors. The class competition was in- S tense; each class yelled and I chanted for all they were worth, I for each competition counted. | The Sophmores hard work and I determination paid off in the end I as they were announced the I overall winners of homecoming.
