OROVILLE HIGH SCHOOL PRESENTS NUGGET ’66 Dear Reader, The Nugget '66 binds the memories of the 1965-1966 school year into a treasured volume, to which we eill return many times over the years. The Class of 1966 has added various memories to the history of their high school days. The passing of a close and dear friend , Bill Winston, has given his friends the meaning of a lasting friendship: loyalty, devotion, and understanding. We shall never forget him nor the things he has done. The C 1 a s s of '66 was also the last class to have occupied the now condemned main building. The deserted, lifeless building was once the height of bustling student activity; now, quiet descends upon it. The Nugget'66 records pictorially the joys, disappointments , academic achievements, and failures of the past year. Each person has a special reserved feeling for the year. For the seniors, it is a completion of four years, both active and studious, and for the freshmen, a beginning. The high school years slip by quickly, but they are treasured years, filled with glowing memories we shall never forget. The Nugget '66 presents these Golden Memories to you. 3 Sincerely, The Editor
