nm nn 5 cnss fs 1 f , i DONNA ELLIS: Secretary PEDRO RODRIQUEZ: Treasurer The first activity in which the freshman was a part, was the Freshman Dance, planned by the student body. As this was the first chance many of us had to attend a dance, it was very enjoyable for all. The next big occasion was the freshman initiation. We were asked to dress in outlandish costumes. A few of us were not too happy with this arrangement, how- ever, the class on the average had a good time. In sports activities, the freshman class did very well. Notable on the B foot- ball team were: Pedro Rodriquez and Richard McFarlin. There were also a few freshmen on the B and C basketball teams. They were: Pedro Rodriquez, Phil- lip Morrelli, Dick Lopez, Gary McFarlin, Joe Perez, Sam Arenas, Jack Dovms, Eutiquio Holquin, Gene Welch and Don Fujinaga. The class officers were: President, Phillip Morrellig Vice-President, Linda Ring, Secretary, Donna Ellisg Treasurer, Pedro Rodriquez. We also had some representa- tives. They were: Girls' League, Barbara Frey, Jr. Red Cross, Annet Cumifordg and Student Council, Kris Hardie. Those on the Calendar Committee were: Kay Jenkins, Kathleen Becktold, Marva Bonds and Everett Helwick. The football squad honored the freshman class by electing Linda Ring queen. She was crowned at the Football Dance, November II. Shirlene Wilson, another Fresh- man, was chosen F.F.A. Sweetheart. We have sponsored a Football Game concession stand and a dance after a basket- ball game. For all its good and bad spots, our Freshman year has been very profitable as well as enjoyable. LINDA RING: Vice-President PHILLIP MORRELLI: President
