The girls on the annual staff outnumber the boys and they love just to sit and chat. But that isn't the way an annual is published. So the girls settle down, and the work is begun. There is a lot to publishing an annual that people do not know about. Besides taking pictures and writing copy, there is a business end. The books must be ordered in advance so that there is a copy for everyone. Money must be collected, and that is a big job. Advertising must be sold, and there are many other details tc be attended to. Putting out an annual is not easy but it is fun, and invaluable experience is gained by the staff members. This is the sort of frightening talk Editor Jo Sprague uses to spur her staff onward. It's quite effective as we can tell by the fine issues of the school paper which have been published. You may see a busy reporter or feature writer scurrying around the school at any hour during the day. They're always busy, finding little bits of interesting news for the students. They keep a careful watch for anything that would be of interest and print it for everyone. The reporting and feature staffs of the paper are as important as the editors, and they do their best to produce a good school paper.
