The senior class joined ranks entering our new district 11 high school in the fall of 1951. We came toOrono as juniors from Deephaven, Mound and Wayzata high schools. Be -cause there were no established traditions, we had the task of choosing the Orono crest for the class rings and were the first class to have the privilege of wearing them. We also were hosts for the first Junior-Senior Prom, May 27, 1952, at the Wood-hill Country Club. This year Orono held its first homecoming celebration for which we were the chairmen. In the two years we have been students at Orono high school we have had many decisions to make and possibly we have helped to establish a few traditions for future classes. As seniors and leaders of our school this year we hope the seniors to follow will find as much enjoyment in their school life as we have. 13
