Both clubs played good ball, with the breaks deciding against both A he can travel around the world and back again while the truth is lacing up its boots. . A little P V C Champlonshlp txed a tradltional rnal Old Town and lost only two games to foes from class L schools Many of the players prevl ously overshadowed by men l1ke Duffy Needham Kenyon Anderson and company broke into the llme llght for the first tlme Jack Weymouth was often m1staken by spectators for the fighting Kenyon whlle Bob Wallace ably mlrrored Needhams marvellous passing and lengthy punts Fred Wallace always a speedy back was the team s hlgh scorer and one of the most consistent ground gamers Hls speed merlted him a first strlng berth on the class M team Both Don and N xck Stonewall Hashey played brulsmg ball all year Rock s stellar play netted h1m a first strmg berth on a statewide team selection Keith Hutchins although small ln stature proved a tower of strength ln h1s all-out brand of llne play Hal Pepper the dlmmutive center received much attention for hls sparklmg defensive work Sullivan and Goodlne tled up the end posltlons making many brilliant plays durlng the season The other members of the club mostly underclassmen gathered much valuable experience gulded by such steady and dependable men as Pelletler St Lawrence Haverlock and Ingersoll This being an exceptionally good bulldmg year should slnk a firm founda tlon for an extremely successful season next year It must be remembered that a team 1S only as good as the men that guide it Much credlt IS due therefore to both Bob Emerson and his extremely popular asslstant Mr Deering faculty manager of athletlcs If a chap ever expects his dreams to come true he must wake up . 1 Q 7 7 7 . .. 7 7 7 , . r . , . , . 7 7 . .
