CLASSES To the OHS Student Body: How fortunate is that community which has citizens who look into the future. Few, if any of us, remember the Jones family, yet we can be proud of our library which was made possible through their generosity. Its facilities are there for all. The Jones family can be traced back to 1813. Hubbard Joslyn, who was a well-known manufacturer of churns and spade harrows in Brownington, was the largest estate owner in Orleans County. Mr. Joslyn was the uncle of Charles and Anna Jones, who were long-time residents of Barton Landing, now Orleans. Mr. Jones and Miss Jones left money for the above pictured library with a trust fund which helps maintain it. Portraits of Charles and Anna Jones hang in the library as a memorial. Even though for some of us formal education may end upon graduation from high school, we can still continue to appreciate this facility.
