Principals Message Upon graduating from high school, you have reached one of the summits on the road of life. Many of you will con- tinue your education at various schools and colleges. For a number of you, graduation marks the end of your formal education. It has been a distinct pleasure and privilege for me to work with you this year. I would like to take this op- portunity to wish each and every one of you, the very best of everything in the years that lie ahead. Q Appreciation We, the Class of 1959, wish to express our appreciation to Mrs . England, who has been our faithful advisor during this year. I-ler patience and consideration to each one of us has contrib- uted to making our class a success. We will always remember the understanding she has shown us and the long and tireless hours she .spent in helping us with all our class activities . I 11 Memorzbzm LEIGH G. ABBOTT, M.D., F.A.C.S. Our hearts were saddened by the death of Dr. Leigh Gates Abbott on October 15, 1958. During the six years that he resided in Orleans, Dr. Abbott gave sacri- ficially of his talent and strength. Along with his professional practice he willingly served our community through Church and civic work. Public ed- ucation was one of his real concerns, and he actively participated in it as a member of the school board. Dr. Abbott will always hold a special place in our heartsg his splendid courage has been a wonderful inspiration to us all.
