It is our opinion that annuals printed in times like these will be more precious to their owners than those printed in peace time, for the boys from our high school and others like it are leaving to fight for their country, (some of them never to return. On these pages we hope to preserve some of the memories of their cherished school days. Any success of this annual is due to the hard work of the staff and the splendid cooperation of the sponsors. I should like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to each one of them. As you turn the pages of the 194 5 Tigando, both now and in years to come, I hope you will find pride and pleasure in seeing our school at work and at play, preparing for war or peace in nineteen hundred and forty-five.
