CLASS OF ’45 CLASS OFFICERS OFFICERS Bob Ki ndrkk President iKIs S' HARING! N Vice-President Mary Brinkman Secretary Donai d Jung Treasurer Leon Osborn Sponsor Since they started as sophomores three years ago. the Class of '4 5 has been outstanding in service, scholarship, leadership, and loyalty. As sophomores the outstanding event of the year was a Valentine’s Dance given by this group on February 5 th at the Elks’ Club. In their junior year they sponsored the gala Shipwreck Dance,” given at the City Auditorium on February 18. During the same year they were very successful as salesmen and executives on March 17 at Junior Day at Yowcll-Drew Co. On May 19th they played hosts to the upperclassmen at the annual Junior-Senior Prom. As mighty seniors the Class of '45 brought a climax to their high school career. For the first time in O. H. S. history the King and Queen of Winter were crowned. The entire student body chose Harriet Sipple and Bob Kendrick to occupy the throne at the Wintertime Frolic given by the Senior Class. They were handsomely attended by a sophomore, a junior, and a senior couple. From the experience the class gained the previous year. Senior Day at Dickson Ives Co., with the class officers as executives, was a very prosperous one. During the annual Kid’s Day, March 16, the seniors were seen around school with beribboned pig-tails, knee pants, and large bow ties. As their project for the year, the Class of ’4 5 presented to the school a portrait of our principal, William R. Boone, to whom this annual is gratefully dedicated. A great deal of credit for this progress is owed to Doc” Osborn, who has capably guided the Class of '45 for two years. And so we bid farewell! 14 ••DOC•• OSBORN
