Boorvii . . . this is the name of our capable, well-liked principal that has been synonymous with the Orlando Senior High School since l92l . . . a period of seventeen years. Born in Atlanta, Illinois, in 1891, Prof.'l Boone celebrates his birthday on January twentieth . . . is proud of his mid-western origin. He received his AB. degree at the University of Oregon . . . also attended the Pacific University, Blacon University, University of Kansas, and the University of lflorida. hlr. Boone started his U. H. S. career as a footballcoach and English teacher . . . became principal in the year 1932 . . . afterwards obtained his lklasterls degree from Stetson Uni- versity. As a result of his seventeen years in school work, he is a shrewd judge of human nature . . . forms his opinions on well-based conclusions . . . probably knows high school studentsftheir work and desires-as well as anyone ever has. Outside of school he enjoys his hobby, flower gardening, and it is not unusual to observe that the vase of llowers in the office is home-grown in Klr. I3oone's back- yard. He is a member of the Rotary . . . the American Legion . . . is a loyal lklethodist . . . is a Sigma Chi Fraternity member. ln all activities of which he is a part, our principal participates with a brisk thoroughness characteristic of his per- sonality . . . even in the busiest weeks he finds time to read newly published history or science hooks. . . .
