42 56 illlrriify gafiefdaf The Orland Varsity basketball team completed its season with a good record this year considering that all of last year's varsity graduated. The '52-'53 team went the farthest into the state tournament of any Orland basketball team to date. After winning the Dist- rict Championship, they entered the Regionals, in the semi-final game. In conference play, the won 7 and lost 3. Their season's record was 18 Seniors playing their last season for Orland Ken Peterson, and Jere Vanek.
