A. grew so large that it was divided into two groups and a freshmen chapter was formed under the direction of Mrs. Geuther as sponsor, and Mrs. Voss as chapter mother. This chapter, the Merry Maidens, un- dertook handicraft as a main activity. They also sponsored a Hardtimes Dance with a Box Social The freshmen were initiated early in February I and after their initiation they worked on their degrees. Some of the outstanding events of the year were in- itiation fo the Merry Maidens, Athletic Banquet, Daddy Date Night, and the Mother's Tea for the Installation of officers. Funds for the sup- port of the club were augmented by a Fash- ion and Fabric Show, and the sale of barbe- cues and hot dogs at lunch time. 26
