Our first job was to choose the staff for the yearbook. This was done during the first few weeks of school. After this was completed we began to establish a schedule for the year, our first pictures were taken in the middle of November. A major factor in the publication of the yearbook was the choosing of the covers. This was done late in 1949. From our many conferences with Mr. Ste- phenson, the photographer, we learned how to set up the dummy, to mount pictures, and to prepare the copy. The dummy was then sent to the printer and engraver for completion. From identifying pictures, writing copy, to soliciting patrons we worked in the hopes of put- ting out a fine yearbook. Now that we have hn- ished our job our wish is that the HiLandor will continue for a long time.
