■ E 5 V' m m. Orland Independent High School was constructed and occupied by January 1, 1921. On the 26th of January of that year the school that is presently occu- pied by 15U students was formally dedicated. OHS was built by a bond issue of $116,000. Of this sum only $88,000 was used in the actual construction of the building. The remainder was used for the purchase of land, apparatus, buses, and other expenses. Our little red-brick” schoolhouse remains near and dear to us and the alumni of OHS. The experiences we have shared here and the memories we cherish will live on forever. Presented by Senior Class of Orland High School Madison, South Dakota DEDICATION Mrs. Hattie Reiners: Mrs. Hattie Reiners has been the chief cook and manager of the lunchroom of OHS for eighteen years. She has seen each of us, and many alumni before us, pass through the halls of Orland from first grade to our coveted role as a Senior and has made our transition from childhood to youth to adulthood an easier and more pleasant one. So, to the cook of OHS we proudly dedicate our annual—the Eagle of 196U. Her delicious cooking, friendly smile, and willing- ness to cooperate have made our days easier and enriched our lives. We dedicate our annual to her as a thanks for her years of ser- vice and as a well-deserved recognition. Miss Betty Augustad—B. S. 5. D. S. C. Hone Economics I, II, III General Science Speech F. H.
