Class History FLOWER MOTTO “THE WORD AMERICAN ENDS IN T CAN'.' COLORS LIGHT BLUE AND PALE YELLOW JONQUIL In the fall of 1946, seven Freshmen enrolled in Orland High School. Those in the class were: Virgil Schoeberl, Larry Robson, Donald Tupper, Tommy Williams Ruth Reiners, Pat Clancy and Fern Williams. The class officers were: President, Ruth Reiners; Vice-President, Donald Tupper; Secretary, Fern Williams; Treasurer, Pat Clancy; Reporter, Larry Robson. The Freshmen presented a one act play en- titled “Bobby Sox.” Mrs. Vickere, who was the class adviser, directed the play. Virgil Schoeberl and Fern Williams were candidates for King and Queen. During the second year of high school, seven remained in the class. Class officers for the year were; President, Ruth Reiners; Vice-President, Tom Williams; Secretary, Pat Clancy; Treasurer, Donald Tupper; Reporter, Fern Williams; and class adviser, Mrs. Vickere. The Sophomore class presented the play, “A Date With Bobby Sox.” Donald Tupper and Ruth Reiners were candidates for King and Queen. During the Junior year Virgil Schoeberl quit school to farm. Class officers for the year were: President, Ruth Reiners; Vice-President, Donald Tupper; Secretary, Pat Clancy; Treasurer, Tom Williams; Reporter, Fern Williams; and Class adviser Mrs. Milton Anderson. The Junior class presented a mystery play, “The Ghost Chaser.” A formal banquet was held in the auditorium, April 23rd. The theme of the banquet was “The Gay Nineties.” Tom Williams and Pat Clancy were crowned King and Queen of the carnival of 1948-'49. In the fall of 1949, six Seniors entered Orland High School to finish the last year of their high school education. Ruth Reiners left to become a housewife. Class officers for the year were: President, Jack Miller; Vice-President, Don Tupper; Secretary, Pat Clancy; Treasurer, Tom Williams; Reporter, Fern Williams. Mr. Gardner was the class adviser. The Seniors presented the play, “A Pair of Country Kids.” Jack Miller and Fern Williams were crowned King and Queen of the carnival of 1949- 50. 9
