Class HISEOI A long, long time ago, 1946 to be exact, our green, meek little freshman class be gan its four unforgettable years under Or1skany's immortal roof A very hard work ing advisor joined us that year, to whom we are eternally grateful Her name Mrs Hughes Fortunately for us, she remained with us for all of our four years in high school The highlight of our freshman year, if it can be called that, was when the Sophs initiated us It was really murder We elected for our class officers that year Fred Dennison, president, Ernest Reed, vice president, Ronald Baker, secretary, Leonard Zawisza, treasurer Our Stu dent Council representatives that year were Florence Converse and Charles Nelson As we were pretty green that year, we did not do too much toward making money We began our sophomore year by electing for our class officers Fred Dennison, president, Lorraine Ross, vice president, Carolyn Jackson, treasurer, June Prichard, secretary Florence Converse and Charles Nelson were our Student Council represen tatives again That year we made money in various ways, such as, dances, movies and selling candy and Christmas paper Our officers for our junior year were Florence Converse, president, Fred Dennison, vice president, Lorraine Ross, treasurer, June Prichard secretary Our Student Council representatives were Jack Abel and Barbara Radell Mrs Wood joined us as co advisor that year, and we would like to extend our grat itude for her help in our many activities The highlights of that year were our Prom and our play Our prom, the theme of which was 'Under a Starry Sky was a success due to the combination of our beautiful decorations and the sweet music of Roger Scharf's orchestra Our Junior Play, 'Pro fessor, How Could You, in spite of the usual worrying and stage fright, turned out to be a huge success We really worked hard that year, and our balance at the end of it was S1520 Mary Harkema, vice president, Carolyn Jackson, treasurer, June Prichard, secretary, and our Student Council representatives were Fred Dennison and Carol Vollmer The highlight of this year was, of course, our senior trip We all had a marve lous time and probably never will forget it Now it is time to say goodbye to Oriskany Central, the school we have loved so well, Classes will come and classes will go, and we will be forgotten, but we will all remember and enjoy thoughts of our high school days Carolyn Jackson, treasurer, June Prichard, secretary, Jack Abel, president, Mary Harkema, vice president 15 0 I ,I . n I ll . - At last, reaching our senior year, our class officers were: Jack Abel, president, EI , , , '., ,,,,,..
