oss History If we look back four short years ago we see ourselves as timid Freshmen entering the venerable portals of high school. The officers for that year were: president, Anne Walbrang vice president, Billy Salisburyg secretary- treasurer, Carleton Bakery Student Council, Ruth Van Dyke. Our class ad- visor, Miss Margaret Cassidy, took us under her wing and helped us get off to a right start. We were, of course, initiated by the Sophs, who had no mercy on us. When Hallowe'en came along, we won first prize for the best Hallowe'en float, thus proving ourselves to the upperclasses As more self confident Sophomores we began the year again under Miss Cassidy That year we elected as officers president, Bob Smith, vice president, Bill Salisbury, secretary, Ruth Van Dyke, treasurer, Mary Draper, Student Council, June Wooding, Carleton Baker We took our year old revenge out on the new freshmen and decided that initiation is much more fun for the sophs As a result of our being an ambitious group our treasury swelled with profits from numerous vic dances and movies soon sored by us During our Junior year we realized the value of cooperation our school motto for the year Without it our social events could not have been suc cessful The Junior play 'It's a Long Lane and the Prom highlighted the year and helped to make it one of the most outstanding Our class officers were as follows president, Bob Smith, vice president Bill Salisbury, secretary, Ruth Van Dyke, treasurer, Peg Brennan, Student Council, Lois Flanders, Carleton Baker These past three years have flownby so quickly that we scarcely realize that we are Seniors and are on the last step of our high school career The Senior trip, which we had all looked forward to since our Freshman year, was spent in New York during five days of our Christmas vacation A years go by, we shall look back upon it as one of our most pleasant exper iences As the term is nearing its close, it is bringing graduation nearer to In our caps and gowns and holding our diplomas, we shall realize that we are no longer happy, carefree high school students, but have just taken our first step in the outside, adult world SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS ,I Ruth Van Dyke, secretary, Lois Flanders, vice president, Anne Walbran, president, Peggy Brennan, treasurer 14 , O . n 1 3 Q . , I A 0 S us .
