1979 You walk out for the last time and you wait to hear the doors slam I'll be back you think But you know you won't And you wonder if you're really on your way... MISKANY FALLS NEW YORK TO SIR” MICHAEL WITH LOVE” The time has come for closing books and long last looks must end. And as I leave, I know that I am leaving my best friend. A friend that taught me right from wrong, and weak from strong; that's a lot to learn. What can I give you in return? If you wanted the moon I would try to make a start, but I would rather you let me give my heart. To Sir, with love. Since our Freshmen Year you have helped us to establish our future goals, and you have taught us how to work hard for them. We have always looked up to you as a teacher and a friend. This dedication is only a small token of our appreciation for the four years of guidance and understanding you have given us. To you, Mr.Berardino, our class dedicates the 1979 Oriska. Thank you and farewell. TO OUR PARENTS lWITH LOVE” Mr. Mrs. Alberding Mr. U Mrs. Cleveland Mr. Mrs. Donovan Mrs. Fargo What good are Our Parents, we never may know. They watch us forever, each hour that we grow. They know what we're thinking before we can say And show us their love in many a way. They spend Christmas Eve just to make metal resemble A bike in a box marked easy to assemble. They worry so much over signs of the flu And get so upset when we come home at two. Mr. Mrs. Gagnon Rev. Mrs. Gendron Mr. Mrs. Hall 3 Col. Hoch Mr. Mrs. Legacy L X Mrs. McNamara Don't talk to strang- ers, they always will say. It's raining outside, so don't go out today. They give us advice , seems we never will use And always give answers that are made to con- fuse. But we thank you. Our Parents, though hard to say why. For the love that you give us til the day we die. In sickness, in health, in fear and in strife Though seniors this year, we thank you for life. 4 PATRONS Thank you for your help and support. Mrs. Adolf Neidhart Mr. Mrs. James McNamara Mr. Larry Stockwell Mr. Mrs. Nelson Dodge Sharon A. Cieslak B. E. Hall The Reverend Mrs. Steven Middernacht Mr. Mrs. Matthew Castellucci-Shalom Ms. Casilda Fargo Mr. Mrs. Lester Cleveland Mrs. J. Frederick Mrs. Florence Howe Mr. Mrs. Keith Donovan Mr. Mrs. Lewis Turner Ron Eva Idzi Mr. James Neidhart Mr. James Harding Mr. Mrs. Arthur Ford Family Mr. Mrs. Erwin E. Hall Col. Kurt L. Hoch 5 6 Every minute I am angry, I lose 60 seconds of hapiness. DEBRA LYN ALBERDING Sometimes I wish I were a little girl again because a broken doll is easier to mend than a broken heart. CHERI ANN DONOVAN You may forget with whom you laughed, but you will never forget with whom you wept. YESTERDAY is already e dream, and tomorrow is only a vision; but today, well-lived, makes every yesterday a dream of happiness, and every tomorrow a vision of hope. Joyful times are never gone— they're always joys to look back onl w 10 RENEE LYNN FARGO I am only me But still I am me I cannot do everything But still I can do Something And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. People cannot change truth But truth can change people. DOUGLAS EDWARD FURNESS MICHAEL PATRICK GAGNON Smile and the world smiles with you, cry and you cry alone, laugh and everybody laughs with you. But remember, feelings did not make this world, you and I did so lets keep it the way it is now. 13 LAURA LOUISE HALL 15 GRETCHEN ANNE HOCH What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. Each thing that I experience Brings me closer to myself It does not matter whether I win or lose at searching It's the search that enables me to grow. 16 SCOTT THOMAS JEFFERS A girl is like a ship if you keep her in shape she will be seeworthy. 17 SCOTT DAVID LEDACY One reason the big apples are always on top of the basket is that there are always a lot of little ones holding them up there. 18 19 GIAHNINE LOUISE MALPEZZI Slow down you crazy child you're so ambitious for a juvenile but then if you're so smart tell me why are you still so afraid? Where's the fire what's the hurry about you? Better cool it off before you burn it out you got so much to do and only so many hours in a day. Billy Joel WILLIAM GUY MALPEZZI They say there's a heaven for those who will wait some say it's better but, I say it ain't. I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints, sinners are much more fun and only the good die young. 21 22 24 25 SUSAN VALERIE REILE Where am I going. Will it always be like this? Sometimes the road seems blurry. But sometimes it's so clear. Nobody can help me. The decision is up to me. Someday I'll get it together And be on the road to somewhere. 26 JUDITH ANN SPOONER I believe a person learns from experience. He doesn't change, and he never forgets. 27 SENIOR OFFICERS Row 1: Sue Reile; Pres., Scott Jeffers; V. To the police it's obviously just another case of sibling rivalry. But a guest is suspicous of this slick solu- tion. There are others besides his brother who hold grudges against the murdered man. As the action expands, we have not one but several complex life patterns to keep us enthralled in an evening of mystery and romance by the famous poet and playwright, A.A.
