Our main project for raising money was selling pencus. Even the big bad Seniors bought some. We welcomed Junior Harney to our class, only to lose him again, with him went Jack Barrett, Fay Dupre, Donald Genski, Agnes Hazzard, who had been here in the eight grade, had returned. Our Sophomore year started off with new officials: Raymond Quackenbush President: Stewart Olmstead, Vice President: Pat Rue, Secretary: Bill Broedel, Treasurer: Mr. Beemer, Advisor. We again sold pencils, and had a successful bake sale that year. And will we ever forget how Raymond couldn't teach us how to make Christmas Wreaths to sellI We found that Janet Rice and Barbara Dowd had left during the summer. Than came our Junior year. Who knew the memories that year wduld bring us? First we elected Junior Engle President, Lenwood Schlernitzauer Vice President, Sue Way Secretary, and Stewart Olmstead Treasurer. Mr. Hillagas was our Advisor. Raymond and Pat left us, but to take their places was Janet Rice, who had returned. Our first major event was getting our class rings, which were the best ever, of course. Then we sold coke and candy at the games. Our second major event came in May, our prom, with Melody of Love as its theme. How we worked on the hearts and notes for decorations with the false ceilingl Boy what a ceilingl All too soon we found ourselves electing our Senior Officers; Lenwood Schlernitzauer, President; Robert Huntley, Vice President; Joan Munz Sec- retary; Agnes Hazzard, Treasurer; Mr. Beemer was our Advisor and Mrs. Leach directed our yearbook. We had lost Janet Rice again and along with her. Junior Engle and Sue Way. Our main concern was to get our play under way and start our ads, ror the yearbook. I'm sure the girls will always remember how they became ill and the play was postponed until Spring, while working on the plav we found out just how shy Bill Broedel was. I'm sure tnat each of us will never forget some special scene which we forgot, left out, or thought it our worst and had it come out the best. Besides our play and yearbook we had many other successful Class Activies such as; Bake Sales, Paper Drive, Card Party, Movies, and One of The first Donkey Basketball Games; may there be many more. Out of this group I think the Donkey Basketball was the most succ- essful and remembered. We took our trip during our Easter Vacation and went to Washington. On the whole we enjoyed it very much. There was as much excitement that day as there was in everything we did, even if we were half asleep when we came from home we soon woke up as we boarded the train. Then came the big day - Graduation Day. We prepared for that day from with studying for regents and exams so we could have the pleasure of walk- ing down the aisle with the others. Now the four years which had seemed to be so long in the beginning turned out to be all too short. In a few years we will not remember the bad times, only the good times. Even today we think only of the good times and laugh at our mistakes.
