CLASS HISTORY On a brlght sunny day the thlrd of September 1945 the follow1ng group of llttle tots trudged along the path toward the Or1ent Consolldated School to begln thelr long Journey through the halls of knowledge They were Max Fexck Duane Lmn Byron Ray John Shean John Shmkle Janet Capps Wyonne Guthr1e Martha Hazen Judy Josephson Mary Krablel Janette Purdy Charlene Speed and Barbara Wmlmeth Wh1le on the1r flrst stop the fxrst grade Mrs Wllllams taught these llttle folks the fundamentals of school namely staymg 1n the1r seats and bemg qu1et As the year progressed Rxchard Kuhns Ruth Jones Lmda Lane and Dennxs Tussey were added to our happy lxttle group At the beglnnxng of our second year whlle taklng roll Mrs K1rl1n found that a few seats had been left vacant by Duane Llnn Wyonne Guthrle and Ruth Jones However the seats were soon occupied when we galned Carolyn Mlller and R1chard Peters We also later acqulred John Davls and Bonme Long Towards the end of the year we were very sorry to lose R1chard Kuhns John Shean and John Shlnkle Our thlrd year of school was made much more lnterestlng when we galned Wayne Johnson and Larry W1ll1ams but we all felt a loss when Dennxs Tussey Bonnle Long and John Davxs declded to leave us Our lnstructor Mlss Holmes was very helpful mn guldmg us through that year Dur1ng the fourth grade we nemther galned nor lost any students Most of our t1me was spent 1n trylng to grasp the lessons taught by our teacher Mrs Strong Miss Sellwood was a very understandlng person when It came to managlng a group of growmg flfth graders At the begmnmg of that year we found we had lost Janet Capps and near the end of the school year we had another vacant seat when Judy Josephson dec1ded to leave us to move to Greenfleld We had one new addltlon to our flock Lo1s Schrader Movlng 1nto the Junlor I-hgh room we dlscovered that Mr Russell was our new s1xth grade teacher At the start of the new year one name that of Janette Purdy had been left off the l1st of s1xth graders Darrell Leedom came to Jom our class toward the m1ddle of the year and Janette Purdy dec1ded to re enter our grade Barbara Wllmeth declded to leave us and try out another school St1ll 1n the Junlor Hlgh room we declded to have a try at the seventh grade We found upon arr1v1ng that Mrs Reddlngton would be there for help and encouragement Dur1ng the thmrd sxx weeks we had two new add1t1ons to our class They were Kenneth Fry ard Robert Putney John Tolley also declded to come be a member of our studlous little group Near the end of the year Darrell Leedom moved away and left an empty seat 1 1 ' Y 1 . - 1 1 1 g 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 I ' 1 1 ' 1 1 ' l 1 1 ' 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 . . 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 , . y . . - 1 1 1 0 y 1 . Bemg elghth graders we had to make our entrance lnto the Hxgh School assembly whlch was a new experlence for all of us When we were counted we found we had lost Janette Purdy and gamed Marllyn Stoll Later on ln the year we also lost Robert Putney and John Tolley Our Freshman year started out about the same as the precedmg year had We were fortunate 1n los1ng no students and ID gammg Jamce Gray At the begmnlng of our Sophomore year we found that we had lost Kenneth Fry H1s seat d1d not remam vacant for long but was soon occupled by Judlth Pace Rlchard Thompson also came to take h1s place 1n the ranks of the Sophomore class As Junlors and belng upper classmen we felt very lmportant We were all very sorry when we lost Larry Wllllams Judxth Pace and Janlce Gray No one was added to our group to take thelr places Flnally we are on the home st etch We are Senlors One of the beglnnlng members of our class Byron Ray declded to leave us thls year Those flnally endmg thelr Senlor year together are Max Ferck Martha Hazen Wayne Johnson Lmda Lane Mary Krab1el Carolyn Mlller Rlchard Peters Lols Schrader Charlene Speed Mar1lyn Stoll and Rxchard Thompson Twelve Years Together lx ax-tha Hazen, ar ra xc, ax exc , ar ene Saeed 0 I , . , . .
