D. and PEG un for Glass tmlacg f953-54 The Junior Class presented the three act play Down and Up on November l7thunder the direction of Mrs. Maude Rust. The plot centered around a young girl, Carlotta Archer, who was supposed to have as her house guest Diana Maybe, who was also supposed to meet her fiance at the Archer home. When she postponed her visit, another of Carlotta's friends came. Since Mrs, Archer was expecting the social prestige that having Diana as a guest would bring her, Carlotta told her that the se- cond friend was Diana instead of Gay Gorham. Meanwhile, Diana's fiance, Everett Barnes who was a young aviator, had learned that Diana was not coming, and therefore as a protection in one of his missions, spread the word around town that his friend, Eddie Breeze, was really the avia- tor. The situation provided much humor along with the rest of the happenings in the Archer household such as the new maid, Goldie Blondell, and also Chester Archer.
